Steve hold a 2nd Class Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng), a Fellow of the IET (used to be known as the IEE), a Chartered Electrical Engineer (C.Eng) and a Specialist Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (SIIRSM) plus also holds a Level 3 Certificate in Teaching & Education, Internal Quality Auditor qualification and a Level 6 Certificate in Applied Health & Safety.
Having over 40 years in the Telecoms and Electrical / Electronics Engineering Industry and education, Steve started his career at BT as an apprentice and then moved to the world of Cable TV in 1994 (Yorkshire Cable / Telewest & Virginmedia), until 2013 then becoming self employed under his own company Ledgard Consulting. He is also a Director in Get Technology Together C.I.C., which is a Charitable Interest Company that provides free Technology training across a number of Digital Access Point locations across Leeds.
He has much experience is organising and managing community activities, currently he is Chairman of Hunslet Festival which organises Hunslet community Gala in June of each year.
Ian is an apprentice trained tool maker, with over Forty years’ experience in mechanical engineering. I was made redundant in November 2015, since then I became a self-employed engineer, renting a fully equipped workshop in Bradford. In July 2017 the workshop and the site were sold. In September 2017, I moved back to Leeds where I set up a business as a self-employed wood worker known as the Palletman, I hold a Level 3 certificate in teaching. I now teach free courses in basic woodwork to anyone who would like to learn about wood work, I also teach adults with learning disabilities basic wood work skills. I have developed an innovative technique of print transfer onto wood using an ink jet printer. I hold a Level 2 certificate in food safety and hygiene.
